What tips would you give to a beginner? Also, if is there anything you wished you knew when you had first started that you know now?
Avoid cheap plastic big box machines. Look for a vintage machine on craigslist or a yard sale. Easy to fix on your own, usually better made being metal and parts are fairly cheap if they need replacing. Most folks give up sewing never knowing it
