Do plants need to be by cold places or warm places?

Plants grow a lot better in warm places because this is one of the things that they need to grow. Photosynthesis takes a better effect in warm places so this helps the plants grow.
Both. There are plants that will not grow at all in the tropics, and plants that will not grow in temperate or cold climates. Plants have done a fine job of adapting themselves to were ever they happen to be: Cold, hot, even under water or ice. Photosynthesis takes place in sunlight whether it is hot or cold.
