If you drill a hole in them, then water will rot them faster and you can just kick them over in a year or two
Hire a stump grinding service. They can grind the stump below the level of your yard and you won't have stumps to trip over for the next few years waiting for them to rot.
I have hear that if you pour buttermilk into the hole it will speed up rotting
if you have 50 of them hire a backhoe or if it is in a field use a dozer...
pull them out with a truck
